It's an easy walk from the property to Waihi Beach village - around 10–15 minutes to the shops and cafés, and roughly 5–10 minutes down to the beach itself. The Waihi Beach Surf Lifesaving Club, at the northern end of the main beach, is about a 3–5 minute drive. Waihi township, home to the Martha Mine and Waihi Gold Discovery Centre, is an 10 minute drive. Tauranga and Mount Maunganui are around 40 minutes' drive north, making both easy day-trip options. A car is recommended for exploring beyond the village, though everything you need day-to-day is within walking distance.
