Cozy farm house right on the edge of town. This 2 king bedroom home offers ensuite bathrooms, and a full open living and kitchen space. Enjoy the peace & quiet of The Gilchrist Farm with the convenience of being close to local amenities. Front porch rocking chairs and a backyard firepit invite you to relax at sunset. Dog friendly home. Only 2.5 miles to Downtown, 3.5 miles to central dining/shopping (Starbucks, Walmart, etc.), 5 miles to Scotia Village. This home is a 100+ year old farm house lovingly renovated into a comfortable, modern home. Two King bedrooms, both with ensuite bathrooms, sit privately on opposite sides of the house. A cozy living room opens into a full kitchen with all the appliances/amenities needed for your home away from home, complete with a full capacity washer and dryer in the foyer. This is a dog friendly house. Keypad guest entry is on the side door, with parking to the right of the house next to the side porch.

Wow! Our stay was absolutely incredible. From the moment we arrived, it was clear how much, love, care and attention to detail the owners put into this home. Everything was spotless and modern, beautifully decorated! The finishes and appliances were top-tier. The small touches truly made me feel as if I was at a "Boutique Hotel" vice a VRBO property. We were greeted with fresh pastries, a handwritten welcome note, a basket full chips and nuts, as well as water in the fridge. We also had the pleasure of meeting the owners, who were such a wonderful couple. You can genuinely see that this home was a labor of love. I have stayed in many homes, hotels and villas throughout Europe and this place was definitely at the top. If you're on I-74 and need to rest forget the hotels, it is so close to downtown, but a respite of peace and solitude in a rustic setting. Oh I forgot to mention the beds...COMFORTABLE!!! The bed and high thread count linen was better than my own and I invest in the best for myself! Also, there was a kennel and water/feeding dishes for my AussieDoodle. This home is great for a family, couple or someone who wants to get away for whatever reason. We didn't use the smokeless firepit, but we did sit around it and enjoy a glass of wine in the evening.
