Was not a hot tub break as hot tub was too cold

Great location to Darlington and free parking after 6pm

The hot tub had just been turned on it was only 27 degrees when we arrived . We could not use the hot tub until the day we left . Property needs a refurbishment and they still ask for £100 breakage deposit

Lovely, but again could have been cleaner. I’d give 3 stars out of 3 because of this.

Beds were very comfortable, great kitchen facilities. Great communication from owner.

Could have been cleaner, needed a good dust around. Hot tub was not the cleanest as broke out in spots the next morning from the water. Chips were found on the top of the wardrobe.

A disappointing stay that had lots of potential, but poor cleanliness and an unusable hot tub really let it down.

Some potential but felt very let down.

Unfortunately, this was a really disappointing stay, particularly as we specifically chose the property because of the hot tub. We paid £234 for one night and arrived to find the hot tub at only 33.5°C with a considerable amount of visible debris/residue floating in the water. We contacted the host immediately and were told it had been cleaned, but that maintenance had attended afterwards. A cleaner was sent back to the property and added further treatment to the water. We were travelling with three children aged 6, 10 and 15, so understandably wanted to know when it was safe for them to use. We eventually received confirmation at 9:29pm that enough time had passed after the treatment, but the hot tub was still only around 33°C at approximately 9:20pm despite having been heating throughout the evening. As this was only a one-night stay, by that point it was simply too late to continue waiting for it to reach a comfortable hot-tub temperature. None of the five of us got to use the hot tub at all, which was extremely disappointing as it was one of the main reasons we chose this accommodation. There were also cleanliness issues. We found visible dirt/debris accumulated within the seams of the sofa bed that my partner and I slept on, as well as a visibly stained toilet roll in the bathroom. Unfortunately, our interaction with the cleaner when she returned was also very uncomfortable. She appeared visibly annoyed, didn’t greet or acknowledge us, pushed past us when moving between rooms and eventually walked out without saying anything, to the point that we didn’t initially realise she had finished and left. I appreciate that the host did arrange for someone to return after we raised the hot-tub issue, but ultimately it didn’t change the fact that an advertised facility that was a major part of our decision to book was unavailable to our family throughout our stay.

The property was very clean and ready early for us coming. It was perfect for our girls trip away celebrating the big 4-0. The facilities were great, the hot tub was amazing. The property is so close to town! Free parking!

The WiFi wasn't great, there were 2 towels between 3 of us and we ran out of toilet paper as there were no spares.
