The location in Stresa is exceptional- right in the heart, literally minutes from the eateries, supermarkets lake and promenade.
Apartment was well equipped and clean.
Minutes from the boat service around Maggiore and 15 minute walk to the train station. Trains efficient, clean, comfortable and on time. We just had to be aware of restricted services due to works on the line, but the Tourist Information were able to notify us of that. Wi-Fi provided which was efficient. Good size rooms and space to sit outside if you wish.
Kettle provided is not compatible with the induction hob!
The 'glass bomb' alarm at 0530 on Friday morning as everyone in the town has the glass collected- the only day we hadn't got an alarm set! View from the kitchen window not great- we kept the window shut which was effective for sound proofing too.
Reported a faulty fan when we checked in to the lady who met us and gave us the keys. No follow up though, so we had an erratic and temperamental fan all week. The TV got the better of us- no matter what we tried, we could not change the language from French, so gave up in the end. Maybe others will be more successful than us!

Love how close to the train station and the hop on hop off bus and supermarket
The room we have is near the main front door into the building, people coming and going very noisy late at night and the door slams
The bathroom door needs work . Still trying to locate the spot to put garbage, apparently 100 meters down the street somewhere

L’emplacement en plein centre, la propreté et le calme.
Nous avons dû faire nous-mêmes le lit avec les draps juste posés dans la chambre, alors même que nous avions dû payer un supplément de plus de 40 euros pour les draps et les serviettes pour 3 jours. Autre déception : la vue de l’appartement n’est pas celle de la première photo de l’annonce : l’appartement n’offre pas de dégagement sur la place mais donne sur une cour intérieure entre des bâtiments.
