We truly enjoyed our stay with this wonderful family. From the moment we arrived, they were incredibly welcoming and hospitable, and we immediately felt at home. The whole family is so kind and lovely, and their dog is absolutely adorable and very sweet as well — so if you are at all unsure about staying somewhere with a dog, there is really nothing to worry about.
Staying with them gave us such a special and authentic experience of life in the Japanese countryside. Our room was lovely, clean and beautifully prepared for us when we arrived, and throughout our stay we felt very well taken care of and genuinely welcomed into their home.
It was wonderful to get away from the bigger cities for a while and experience the peaceful countryside and everyday life with a local family. This was truly one of the highlights of our trip to Japan, and we are so happy we chose to stay here.
We would absolutely recommend this stay to anyone looking for a warm, personal and authentic experience. Thank you so much for having us and for making us feel so welcome in your home. We are very grateful for the experience and will remember our stay with you very fondly. We truly hope that one day we will have the chance to come back and visit again!

I was able to experience the authentic side of Japan, which to me involves stepping away from major tourist hubs to engage in everyday local life, traditional crafts, and quiet nature.
Not really easy to get there but I would totally recommend to take on the Gifu Prefectural Road Route 70 to get some nice chills down below your spine :)

This place greeted us like a warm hug. We actually cried with joy on arrival at how beautiful and cozy this guesthouse is. But maybe it was more like we had found a home in amongst our bikepacking travels. The family that owns this guesthouse are so wholesome and really special people. We loved the fire heated bath, receiving flowers from the kids, the cosiest tatami beds and every drop of decoration that made this home feel as safe and creative as it did. Thank you forever

Het is een geweldig leuke homestay met een nog leukere familie die ons volledig opnam. De kamer is heel ruim en de futons zijn comfortabel. Het huis is heel gezellig en huiselijk. Je voelt je hier meteen thuis. In de buurt zijn er mooie watervallen en onsens te bezoeken. Een hoogtepunt van onze reis door Japan!
