Spent five nights there in June 2026) and loved the apartment. Of course there is the usual street noise and noisy neighbors screaming and playing music with windows open (in the summer), but the double-paned windows do a very good job keeping out the noise. The windows in the bedroom and the living room have the usual traditional wooden blinds; the kitchen window currently has nothing to keep out the light; therefore, light-sensitive sleepers need to bring and use an eye mask, especially if they sleep on the sofa in the living room. The bed is comfortable—it has a mattress and a memory-foam topper. I love the height-adjustable desk. Wifi = WLAN is very fast (my app measured 740 Mbps download, 670 upload). The apartment is very well equipped (including a rack for drying clothes and even has an orange juice press and waffle maker). I was missing only the following things: olive oil, washing detergent, a way to filter out the chalk from the water, and window blinds or a curtain for the kitchen window. Additional info: The market is only 20 meters away (Mondays to Saturdays food, Sunday flea market). Bus station for the bus going to Lerici only a few meters away. Large supermarket (Doro) 9 minutes. Small supermarkets (Carrefour express and Doro express) 7 minutes, near the train station. To the train station (La Spezia Centrale) I walked without rushing in 14 minutes from apartment door to train track, maybe 8 when I was jogging a bit.
Everything was fine. Only two little things: 1. Curtains for the kitchen window would be nice. 2. In order to receive the code for the key, I had to take a selfie of me in front of the building and send it to the apartment manager; this meant I then had to stand on the sidewalk (in the heat & sun) with my luggage and wait for a reply. It was only a few minutes, but I worried (even in advance) that it could take longer if the person happened to be unavailable or there was an internet outage or some other problem. I guess it's an additional safety measure, but I think this procedure is a recipe for future problems and should be improved.

L’appartamento era ben pulito e attrezzato, cosa importantissima per me. C’erano perfino bollitore e microonde. Poi il centro coi negozi è vicinissimo quindi non serve neppure la macchina. Chicca stupenda il mercato coperto a 20 metri dove si può trovare frutta/verdura fresca con pochi euro. Ultima cosa ma non per importanza, bellissimi Portovenere e le 5 terre, raggiungibili con bus e treni che passano molto spesso da La Spezia. Insomma, un ottimo compromesso per poter vedere tutto senza spendere un rene! Promosso a pieni voti!
L’unico svantaggio sono i tre piani di scale, ma meglio che essere al piano terra.
