Location was great as near beaches, la croisette shopping center, restaurants. Pool was nice. Not heated in the villa but central pool is and it's large and kids enjoyed it. Good size villa for families with large bedrooms, 3 showers, 3 toilets. Host was responsive and friendly. Nice space to park a car which is essential for the area.

Many drain flies that were bothersome, like 4-5 in each bathroom and bedroom. I understand geckos are part of being on a tropical island but there were at least 3 in the kitchen and another came in the bedroom. The last morning of our stay a gecko got stuck in the kitchen sink. We asked if this could be addressed but were told it was normal to have them. I didn't like cleaning the gecko droppings either. We were given citronella plug in and bug spray for the flies but I don't think citronella helps with drain flies and I didn't want to spray bug spray everywhere with our kids around. Also sofa cushions keep sliding out. Need more indoor dining space/chairs. Outside gate doesn't lock. Anyone can walk on to the property but it's a gated community with 24/7 security which mitigates things. Some regular maintenance like painting, fixing leaky shower heads, warped deck boards by the pool needed.

The size and location

The villa’s amenities were very poor quality, needed furniture and kitchen crockery replacing. Lots of power points didn’t work, kitchen tap leaked on the bench and in the cup beneath which meant we needed towels on the kitchen floor to stop someone slipping over. Outdoor lights in garden and entrance didn’t work. The towels were very worn out. The concierge service who looked after the property were good.
