Ab und zu kam ein muffiger Geruch durch die Lüftung rein und die Einstellung der Klimaanlage hat nicht funktioniert. Toilettenspülung hat öfters nicht funktioniert. Zudem hatten wir ein frühen Check In gebucht, könnten aber erst 2 Stunden später in unser Zimmer einchecken.

Our experience at the hotel was unfortunately below expectations, especially for a 5-star property. We originally booked a Deluxe Sea View room through Booking.com, but upon arrival, the view was not as described. The sea was only partially visible from the side, which did not match the photos or description provided online. After raising this issue, we were told that all rooms are like this, which was not clearly stated during booking. The next day, after expressing our intention to cancel, we were offered an upgrade to a Premium room. While we appreciated the effort, the original Deluxe room actually had a sofa, whereas the Premium room only had a chair. We accepted mainly for the improved view. Another major issue was the minibar/refrigerator. We placed fruits and juices inside, only to find them spoiled the next day. When we contacted the staff, we were informed that the unit is not actually a refrigerator, but only a storage unit with no real cooling function. This was very disappointing, especially since both “refrigerator” and “minibar” are clearly listed in the room amenities on Booking.com. When we requested a proper solution, we were told that only suites have real refrigerators, and upgrading would cost an additional 75 OMR per night. As long-stay guests who were considering extending our stay, we expected more flexibility and support, but unfortunately, no alternative solution was offered. When speaking to the manager, we were told that this is a “marketing mistake” and not their responsibility, which was quite unprofessional. There was no follow-up or attempt to resolve the issue during our stay. We would strongly recommend verifying the room in person before confirming, as the online descriptions do not accurately reflect the actual experience.
