The cabin and views were beautiful. It is on top of a mountain, so if driving steep, curvy roads isn't your thing, reconsider. We had a wonderful time. There are daily visits with the bears, which was actually peaceful and fun. It was exciting to watch them in their environment. Our oldest son had an small encounter when we first arrived. He went in for just a minute and didn't lock his jeep, our daughter looked out and there were 2 bear cubs inside the jeep. Fortunately, nothing was torn up. So LOCK your doors at all times. They can and will open them. The host was very friendly and easy to contact. We would recommend this cabin anytime. It is very clean, spacious and well put together for a large family. It is away from the main strip but only a 25-30 minute drive into town. Once you're down the mountain, it's a pretty straight shot to the Pigeon Forge Island area.
The only thing, I would have changed is to have food storage containers. The kitchen is very well equipped but if you plan on cooking and your family does leftovers, there are no storage containers. Also, some cabins supply washing detergent for clothes, this one does not if you plan on using the washer. This wasn't a problem for us, we brought our own.
