This Bywater home has been holding onto its original hardwood floors and soaring ceilings since 1892 - history you can feel with every step. The lush surrounding gardens soften the city noise, and the bayou-style front porch gives you a front-row seat to the neighborhood's unhurried, creative rhythm.

Inside, the high ceilings and period details give the home a sense of openness and character that newer builds simply can't replicate. Ceiling fans turn lazily overhead, and natural light moves through the rooms throughout the day. Air conditioning and heating keep things comfortable whatever the season, and a TV and Ethernet connection are on hand for quieter evenings in.
