Welcome to Gerra on beautiful Lake Maggiore—the perfect place for a relaxing yet exciting family vacation.
Here, young and old alike can enjoy the tranquility of nature, plenty of space to play, and the lake’s close proximity. The lake is just a 2-minute walk away—perfect for a spontaneous swim, skipping stones along the shore, or a leisurely picnic.
A special bonus for families: a well-maintained beach with a restaurant and changing facilities is just a short walk away. While the children splash around, parents can enjoy the sun or treat themselves to a meal at the restaurant—vacations don’t get much more relaxing than this.
The charming towns of Ascona and Locarno are within easy reach and offer family-friendly beach resorts, playgrounds, gelaterias, and beautiful lakeside promenades. A special experience is the large weekly market in Luino, Italy (every Wednesday), which you can easily reach in about 30 minutes by car or train—a colorful destination for the whole family.
Day trips to Como or Milan are also easily possible. During the summer months, you can also explore the lake by boat directly from Gerra—a highlight for children and adults alike.
