Wir wurden außerordentlich herzlich vom Gastgeber empfangen und konnten viel gemeinsam lachen. Unser Gepäck wurde für uns bei einer 3-tägigen Tour durch den Tayrona-Nationalpark verwahrt, das war absolut spitze. Die Betten sind bequem. Der Garten ist wunderschön mit vielen Schmetterlingen und Kolibris und wird liebevoll gepflegt. Die Zimmer sind einfach gehalten aber absolut ausreichend wenn man den Tag draußen und den Abend auf der weitläufigen Terrasse verbringt. Die Dusche hat guten Wasserdruck. Die dort lebenden Katzen und Hunde freuen sich jederzeit über eine Spiel- oder Streicheleinheit.
Es gibt Moskitonetzen direkt in den Fenstern, allerdings wurden wir trotzdem ordentlich verstochen.
Das Bad ist etwas klein.

L’accueil d’Ariel et sa maman (et Mango 🐶) est fantastique.
On a passé de très bons moments avec lui.
Je vous conseille de faire le snorkling avec Ariel.
La nourriture est bonne.

La clim ne fonctionnait pas à cause de problèmes de tension électrique dans toute la zone. Ventilateurs en remplacement.

We stayed here for two nights, with one night in Tayrona National Park in between. We specifically chose this hostel and room type because we wanted a comfortable place to relax before and after our hike. We were able to check in early, use the pool, and leave our belongings in the room while we were away. The food and choice of music during dinner were great. The owners and their dogs were also very nice. Unfortunately, there was no water at all when we returned for our second night, although we understand that issues with water and electricity can happen and are not necessarily something the owners can control.
I almost feel bad writing this, but the level of comfort does not match the specifications listed on the booking websites, regardless of the temporary water and electricity issues. We deliberately booked the most expensive room mainly because of the air conditioning and jacuzzi, hoping to relax before and after our hike. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was really old and not working at all, and the fan offered as an alternative was not sufficient when it remained around 25°C at night. There was also no mosquito net, and the window screens were not properly attached (hello, mosquitoes!). Considering the price, we could have stayed in a basic room instead.
At dinner, we were told we had to eat spaghetti because a large group from the attached diving school was coming. After some effort, we were able to get the dishes we wanted, but the situation felt rather strange. We also wanted to pay by card (7% fee!) when checking out, but there were further issues as the owner was out diving and apparently the card terminal could not connect to the phone.
Our main concern is that several of the facilities advertised on the booking websites are simply not available or do not function as described. We believe the owners should be more transparent and ensure that the specifications on the booking websites are accurate until the necessary maintenance has been carried out. The place has the potential to be excellent, but at the moment there is clearly some overdue maintenance and the advertised facilities do not fully match what is actually available. The focus seems to be more on the attached diving school.
