Overall, we loved everything about our stay. It was exactly what we were looking for. The house had absolutely everything we needed, and even many things we hadn’t expected. It was clear that every detail had been carefully thought through.
The house was spotlessly clean, and there was no noise from neighbours or the surrounding area. The location was incredibly peaceful and relaxing, with beautiful sunset views behind the mountains. It was exactly the kind of place we were hoping to find.
The location was also perfect. We were only about 30 minutes’ drive from Vila Real de Santo António, a lively coastal town with plenty of restaurants, bars, beautiful beaches, and a great atmosphere for anyone looking for a night out or a more vibrant experience.
At the same time, we were just a short drive from Alcoutim, a charming village on the Algarve’s inland border with the Alentejo, where we could experience authentic local culture and meet friendly local people. Spain was also just across the river, making it easy to take a short ferry ride and enjoy a visit to another country in just a few minutes.
If you’re looking for a place to truly switch off, relax, and enjoy some peace and quiet while still being within easy reach of beaches, towns, and unique local experiences, this is the perfect place. We would definitely love to come back.
