We had a lovely stay overall, and the hosts were genuinely kind, friendly and very responsive throughout. Communication was easy, and we really appreciated how willing they were to help whenever we raised something.
* Very friendly, kind and responsive hosts.
* Excellent communication throughout our stay.
* Very spacious apartment with plenty of room to feel comfortable.
* Comfortable beds.
* The Wi-Fi, air conditioning and fridge all worked perfectly.
* Convenient location.
* A little more attention to cleaning would make a difference. In particular, the shower area had a clear razor cap left behind from a previous guest, and the kitchen mat and dish rack could have been cleaner.
* There was a noticeable damp/drainage smell in the bathroom during our stay.
* The amount of toilet paper provided was a little limited for a four-day stay.
* There weren't really suitable places to hang towels in the bathroom.
* A few small maintenance issues, including the balcony doors not closing properly and the living-room shutter being difficult to use.
***** The hosts were genuinely willing to help and offered more than once to come to the property to clean, fix things and sort out anything they could. We chose not to take them up on this simply because value our privacy while travelling.
Something to be aware of if travelling by car:
The property does not have private parking, which was never advertised as being available, so this isn't a criticism of the hosts. However, parking nearby can be difficult. On a normal day, it could take us 15–20 minutes to find a space.
On Saturdays, there is a HUGE farmers' market directly outside along the road. It's lively and can be noisy, and the road is closed from around 4am until 6pm. You cannot park there during those hours. Definitely useful to know in advance if you're travelling by car.
