The rooms are clean, and there’s hot water with good water pressure. The tap water is more than just drinkable (filtered six times), and the kitchen is superbly equipped. If you’re looking for luxury, expensive spa treatments, Michelin-starred cuisine, and sterilized gardens, you’re in the wrong place—first in Sodwana, and second, here at Emoyeni Lodge as well. “This is Zululand, not Disneyland!” (Quote ;)). On the other hand, if you’re here to meet great people, let loose at the barbecue station or in the large, open community kitchen, and—with a bit of luck—enjoy an authentic African braai evening with the lovely hosts Patrick and Melody, as well as breathtaking dives almost every day (it’s not for nothing that this is one of the world’s best dive sites), then you’ve come to the right place!! Plus, we had Andrew, one of the best dive instructors, who always spread good cheer with his positive attitude. His calm demeanor underwater and perfect buoyancy control made every dive an educational and very safe experience.
If we had any problems or questions, we could always turn to Patrick or Mel. We were able to get our laundry done on short notice, and they gave us tips on the best places to shop or eat, etc.
If we could have, we would have stayed a little longer.

Une expérience incroyable du début à la fin ! Nous avons été merveilleusement bien accueillis. Le logement est magnifique et l’endroit tout simplement exceptionnel, en plein cœur de la nature. Un véritable petit coin de paradis !
Ils ont même organisé une plongée pour nous et nous ont accompagnés, ce qui a rendu l’expérience encore plus spéciale. Ils sont adorables, disponibles et vraiment aux petits soins.
Nous recommandons cet endroit les yeux fermés ! Si vous êtes amoureux de la nature, que vous recherchez un lieu authentique et des personnes formidables, c’est ici qu’il faut venir ! ❤️
