An oasis close to the airport The beautiful garden makes this a special find among airport stopovers Pick up was easy with great communication from Mary She can also drive you into town which is what I needed And she does it at Bolt prices Clean and welcoming
On one night (I stayed for 2) the neighbours dogs were disturbed and kicked off for a few minutes This did not spoil my stay
9 / 10Outstanding·Nov 2026
I had a wonderful stay at Mary’s Homestay! The house is beautiful, the room is spacious and comfortable, and the location is very convenient, just a short 10-minute drive from the airport. A thoughtful touch was the complimentary bottle of water Mary provides. But what really made the stay special was Mary herself. She is the sweetest lady, incredibly welcoming, and genuinely goes out of her way to make sure her guests feel comfortable and at home. For a small fee Mary will also drive you to the airport, no matter the time of the day/night. I would happily stay here again and highly recommend Mary’s Homestay to anyone visiting Dar es Salaam!
9 / 10Outstanding·Oct 2026
Great place for an overnight stop convenient for the airport. Mary is very helpful and provided good communications. Excellent value for money, for a very pleasant and relaxing homestay.
It wasn't a problem for me, but you should Google Maps or come by Bolt, as the place is tucked away in the suburbs.
