De ligging temidden de natuur en de stilte bevielen ons het meest. We hadden het gevoel ergens in het buitenland te vertoeven maar nee, dit mooie stukje natuur ligt in ons eigenste landje ! Ook bij het rijden langs de Maas (Waulsort ligt langs de Maas) hadden we het aangename gevoel ergens in het buitenland te reizen maar ook hier weer : we zaten op amper 200 km van huis, in ons eigenste België ! Interessant is ook dat in huis alles op het gelijkvloers is. Dus geen trappen.
Hier is het echt zoeken naar wat "tegenviel". Er viel niks tegen. Het enige wat ik zou kunnen vermelden is dat, zoals zo vaak, de afwerking in het huisje soms met goedkope materialen was waardoor bijvoorbeeld het bakje (bevestigd met zuignappen) in de douchecel van de muur viel en ik er niet in slaagde dit opnieuw aan de muur te bevestigen, de kraan in de badkamer was niet erg stevig, ... Ons vakantiehuisje ("l'Emeraude") is het middenste van drie vakantiehuisjes die aan mekaar zijn gebouwd en dus één geheel vormen. De muren die de huisjes gescheiden houden, zijn niet erg geluidsisolerend waardoor je je buren hoort als je op je slaapkamer bent maar geen onoverkomelijke geluidsoverlast. Maar dat zijn details die me uiteindelijk niet irriteerden. Slotsom : er viel ons niks echt tegen.

The property feels fresh and new, everything was spotless and in good condition and very well presented with home comforts and a welcoming food basket on arrival. There’s good quality, comfortable furnishings, a good shower and a well equipped kitchen with plenty of good quality crockery, cutlery and cookware. There’s plenty of storage and seating for 4 people, both inside and on the balcony. The information provided by the owners and their communication is fantastic. This was a short stop for us on a road trip but this would be a great base for a longer stay as there’s lots to do in the local area. Recommended
We failed to notice no towels were provided although bed linen is. Luckily we travel with towels.
We also failed to notice the chalet is in a holiday park. The property also has neighbours attached both sides. If they’re noisy, you can hear them, otherwise, it’s a very peaceful location

Wat een prachtig huisje, en ook leuk voor kinderen! Het was een verademing om te verblijven in een accommodatie waar werkelijk aan alles is gedacht. De omgeving is ook schitterend, met genoeg mogelijkheden om te verkennen.

Nulla. Unica nota (non è una critica), manca la lavatrice. Ma solo se il soggiorno è per tanti giorni, altrimenti non serve.
