About this villa rental
Urridaholt Garðabaer is a quiet new Eco-certified neighborhood located inside Heidmork nature reserve only 15 min drive to downtown Reykjavik (https://visitreykjavik.is/heidmork). Very little light pollution perfect for stargazing and seeing the northern lights inside the capital area. Paved pathways throughout nature with innovative playgrounds as well as more extreme hiking paths, mountain biking and spelunking. Perfect for nature lovers and families. Charging station and heated driveway. Electric vehicles available for rent. Car seats for infants to 12 year olds available free of charge.

Big garden with outside furniture, bench swing, hammock and a very big trampoline during summer. Globber trike 4in1, all kinds of scooters, 3 adult bikes, "kids ride shotgun", 16” kids bike with helper tires.
Sleds for all ages available during winter.
Children: kitchen, medical station, building station, pikler and slide, electric car, endless amount of toys, two Playstation 5, board games, telescope, binoculars.
Infants: crib, sleeping nest, baby brezza, nursing pillow, changing table, tubs, jumping swing, BabyBjörn carrier bag, silver cross stroller equipped for infant up to 22 kg. Three baby high chairs; Nomi (infant installation included), Hokus Pokus and Ikea.
Soap, shampoo, conditioner, detergent, fabric softener, dishwasher pods and most all essentials provided as well as some welcome food and drinks. Cleaning available during stay for additional cost.

Pathway to Vífilsstadir and Vifilsstada-lake is paved all the way from our house and you can either go to the playgrounds and frisbee golf in Vifilsstadir or continue to Vifilsstada-lake where fishing is allowed.(https://www.alltrails.com/poi/iceland/capital/gardabaer/vifilsstadahlid, https://visitreykjavik.is/service/vifilsstadavatn-lake).
For those traveling with children I can send a 5 page google document I made with family friendly activities and excursions as well as restaurant recommendations mostly inside the capital area and to the south.
*We have two people renting a studio on the left side of the house, their entrance is also on the left side of the house so should not be noticeable or of any bother.
