Oscar the host and the location were perfect! We enjoyed walking around the Mandello area. Much less touristy compared to other areas in Como. All the amenities were great! We used the kitchen every morning to cook breakfast and used the washer a few times during our 4-day stay. We also lived the grocery store nearby for convenience! Highly recommend!!!
We wished that there was an AC unit also in the bedroom tho. Even the AC on in the living room, the bedroom got quite hot. Granted it was the hottest summer they had….. so maybe it wouldn’t be so bad typically.

First and foremost, our host Oscar made this trip unforgettable. He is an amazingly warm, welcoming, and fascinating person who cares about his guests. He went above and beyond to help us with absolutely everything, from smooth arrival arrangements and parking to the best local recommendations for dining and exploring. He is so friendly and well-connected; it feels like he knows everyone in town!
The apartment itself was absolutely perfect. It was spotlessly clean, highly comfortable, and specially designed with a homey atmosphere. While compact, it is brilliantly laid out with a lovely double bedroom, a dining area with a kitchenette, and a living room featuring a double comfortable sofa bed. It is also quiet and peaceful.
The location is just a short 5-minute walk to the lake beach on one side, and mountain views on the other. We highly recommend Oscar and his beautiful apartment!
