Location was good. The area was quiet. Layout of the house was good. We didn’t have to do an extensive clean when leaving but as always to tried to leave as clean as possible.
There was a beautiful cool breeze that the house picked up perfectly for our stay, so refreshing.
The owner encouraged communication if necessary.
There were things that needed to be cleaned to feel more comfortable on checking in, ie my wife felt the compulsion to give the upstairs shower a good clean up. There were other details like hard to turn off/dripping taps, shower head that kept dropping.
A vacuum cleaner and a mop would have been nice so we could cleanup more on leaving (but I am sure that is just us).
We needed a warning from the start that there wasn’t going to be enough tea/coffee, soap or toilet paper for 6 nights for 4 adults, not a big problem as we do a shop anyway but it would have been nice.
Downstairs A/C not really working, didn’t matter for our stay because of the beautiful breeze coming through the side door but something to look at for the summer.
Wasn’t sure about whether to ask for the wi-fi password of not as it was not on the property facilities list.
The downstairs toilet seat was broken.
We felt the need to get a plug for the kitchen sink to do washing up and a good dish drainer would be helpful.
The sharp food prep knives were a bit blunt and there was no sharpener.
None of the above was a deal breaker for the price but it would have made the stay even better.
Only mention the above for the sake of feedback.

Lots of room. Comfortable beds
Nice lounge/dining area
Quiet location
Decent parking (garage) if you had a car.
No long life milk or water when we arrived.
No pods for coffee machine.
No information packs on Mackay. (Hospital phone number etc) restaurants.
Inadequate outdoor entertainment area ie no BBQ etc and only 2 chairs outside and small table
No handbasin downstairs toilet/bathroom
No paper towels
No extra linen if required.
No games. (If children visited or were staying).
Extras that were supplied were minimal.
