I really like the staff at Hotel Laureles de Aburrá; they became my friends. Unlike at other hotels where I felt like a nuisance, they treated me well here. The new owner is making improvements, and I stayed over a month because I enjoyed it so much. If you're a foreigner from the USA, avoid other hotels that may mistreat you.
Roxy and Cyndi were awesome, fun staff who were always there, even though they didn't speak much English.
