Aurora Homestay

I stayed in this place for nearly 1 month - it is family run, they are really lovely, helpful, they offer also tours and scooters to rent, everything has been super easy and nice - they wont interupt or bother unless you need something, you just go and ask and everything was sorted out immediately within the day. I had an amazing experience in Da Nang and having such a peaceful, respectful but also safe and secure place really made my stay so much more easy and enjoyable! I am highly recommending if you want to be more central to the city but still about 10mins bike ride from beach which costs around a $1.20 each way so it was super convienient to do exploring, the beach and also stay away from the noisy and crowded tourist places. For me, it was perfect and what I valued most - there is a supermarket, hospital and pharmacy nearby, plenty of local restaurants and so much more to experience the real Da Nang/Vietnam culture and I absolutely love I chose this place! You will have to ask for toilet paper every now and then and to come clean your room as they wont enter unless you ask them, which gives you privacy and peace of mind, just dont be shy to ask :) They also laundry for a $1 per 1kg, also super convenient, so I am generally really happy I chose their family as a host. The place is big, on 3 floors but never had any noise issues - maybe I caused some with movies and music while getting ready to go out :D It is a gated complex with spa, pool and really nice neighbours so it feels very private and safe, I never even locked my room door when going out - but of course feel free to take your own precautions :)

Maybe to make sure you have fresh towels and toilet paper every 2 days or so, but I would just go and ask them and they will give me straight away so it wasn't a big deal.

I really loved everything about this little studio. Communication with the landlady was excellent. I asked for dishes for the kitchen, and she provided them all. She even got me a 20-liter bottle of water before my arrival. Everything about the room was great: it was clean, quiet at night, and the bed was comfortable. I can absolutely recommend this accommodation and will definitely stay there again when I'm in Hanoi.

The best

Location was good. Check-in process was simple. A hotplate and 1 pot for cooking was provided. Bathroom was in good condition.

The bed had an unpleasant smell. There were very loud animals (rats?) running around in the ceiling and walls. Some areas of the walls/ceiling were stained/damaged from interior pipes. The room was small. There were no utensils for cooking. No knife/forks/spoons or drinking glasses.
