The Lincoln Arms Pub & Rooms

I have often visited Dorking and the surrounding area. This is the first time I'd stayed at The Lincoln Arms Pub and Rooms. I enjoyed the location (with free parking on site and near to a railway station offering frequent trains to Gatwick Airport). The room I had was spacious and clearly set up with an eye for details that can ensure a guest's comfort. I enjoyed the lively atmosphere in the pub of an evening. The breakfast was tasty and good value. Dorking is an interesting and historic town. The countryside around is lovely and (in my view) very "English" in appearance. There are many footpaths and cycle tracks to explore. There is also a (now) well-established vineyard within easy walking distance of the property. I enjoyed my one night stay at The Lincoln Arms and would be happy to stay there again.

Very conscientious staff, far better than I anticipated, bought my earplugs with me knowing that the room was above a pub but was two floors up so didn’t need them in the end!

Close to busy road? Very little to complain about!

A bit noisy from the road not too bad.

there was a very generous supply of tea and coffee and the location was usefully near the station for the bus back from my race, I was happy that the member of staff overseeing breakfast allowed me a takeaway so I could catch my train home

The trains going past were rather loud shaking the whole building and I found the bed to be a bit smaller than I would have liked
