About this house rental
This is a truly special property perched on a hilltop in the midst of beautiful Trione-Annadel park in Santa Rosa. You can take in the all the native flora and fauna of Sonoma County on the wraparound deck and feel a world away from all the shops and restaurants of Santa Rosa just down the hill.
*Note: a dog sometimes stays in this house, so if you are highly allergic to dogs, be forewarned*
**As of Sept. 1st 2026, a manager will be residing on the property in the apartment below the house! They have a separate entrance and will stay mostly out sight. But if you do see someone, this is the manager!**
Master bedroom includes a queen bed and private door out to the deck and a jacuzzi tub (jets currently don't work properly) in the master bedroom. The second bedroom features a full size bed and accordion doors that open to the third bedroom (can be seperate or one great room) The third bedroom features a sofa that converts to a double bed and glass doors that lead out to the sunny atrium. The second bathroom comes with a tub/shower and washer and dryer.
The "great" room is the real prize of this midcentury modern home. The L shape couch beckons for movie watching on the 61" smart TV or gathering around the brick fireplace. The giant granite island is great for gathering around while cooking dinner or having morning coffee. The dining table is surrounded by large windows with unobstructed views of the trees around. For big parties, the couch also serves as an extra full bed.
The location has the best of both worlds: access to Howarth Park, Spring Lake and the greater Trione-Annadel State Park. Lake Ralphine is just a 5 minute walk with Spring Lake roughly a 15 minute walk and all of Trione-Annadel's many trails especially popular with mountain bikers. Despite feeling like you're completely immersed in nature, the house is surprisingly conveniently located to all of Santa Rosa's shops and restaurants with Montgomery Village a mere 5 minute drive and downtown Santa Rosa 10 minutes away. Located conveniently near Hwy 12, many Sonoma wineries are just minutes away as well.
The 1 acre property is great for strolling and viewing the many trees and wildlife of Sonoma County. Wild turkeys, deer, jack rabbits, owls and many various birds are seen daily. The pond is also home to a goldfish and is a great spot to relax. You can also unwind in the hot tub amidst all of this beauty.

Ill say up front, this is a lovely property. Great location, nice house, beautiful views. Me and my friends were fairly dissapointed by how unkempt the house was. The couch and beds were visibly covered in dog hair. Two of us are allergic to pet dander so this was at the very least an unexpected annoyance. There was no mention in the description that a dog lives in the house and that we should expect dog hair to be present. Also, when we arrived the kitchen sink was dirty, and there was a dirty food container left in the sink. The microwave looked like it hadnt been cleaned in months and stank when i opened it. The fridge had half empty food containers in it, freezer was full, drawers in bedroom filled with some dudes clothes, bathroom drawers had used deodorant and someone's personal toiletries. There was no waste bin in the bathrooms, no tissue box anywhere in the house, no welcome binder with basic info. While the house was nice, with a nice fire place stocked well with wood, it felt more like crashing at the house of a single bro than staying at a thoughtful vacation rental. I reached out to the host after our stay to give them a heads up about how we feel and to see if we could get the cleaning fee refunded and there was zero response, so here's my review.
