My room was lovely and had a private bathroom, the manager had done a lot of work to this room, which was beautifully furnished. The bathroom was exceptional and the bath I had was exquisite. The staff were fabulous, Sophia was a sweetheart and brought up my cases to the room, and brought up items I had left downstairs. The manager really cares about quality and you can tell that by his workmanship. I enjoyed my stay very much and will definitely stay again, friendly, safe, clean and comfortable.

The staff in the bar were kean to help and good company. The stay was very good value for money, in terms of a room for so little in the middle of such a beautiful place as Ulverston. The bar and function room are well maintained and nice places to pass the time. The room was the cheapest available and was comfortable and actually quite spacious.
The water pressure up on the 2nd floor was abysmal, the cold tap would only dribble. The shower was not great for pressure, either. With the room being so cheap we knew it would be economic - no chairs, no wardrobe or chest of draws - we simply made little piles of clothes on the floor. I also think there's a cleanliness issue related to area out back with the fire escape and bins. It could definitely do with some attention.

No breakfast offered so I had to eat elsewhere. The location is great for the start of the Cumbria way. I ate dinner in the hotel and this was tasty and good value, although it was only Thai food being served.
The rooms are adequate if not a little run down . I had a shared bathroom which was in use throughout the night. Lots of road noise.
