No quarto squire ouve-se bastante o barulho dos carros a passar na rua e nas lombas de abrandamento de velocidade Na verdade o dono do alojamento não tem culpa mas não sei se consegue uma solução para minimizar o incómodo

Le logement est spacieux, la décoration médiévale amusante et soignée, il y a une vaste cuisine commune, un jardin, et même des anthologies de poésie ici et là ... pour un tarif très modéré

Quirky interior, clean and comfortable. Good communication. Close enough to Sintra.
Location is slightly awkward if you’re arriving by car. The entrance into the property is on right onto a pavement with no parking, so you have to park next to the door to quickly unload then go further away from the property on another road to try and find a parking space.

Good kitchen and bathrooms. All very well organised.
The smell. I could live with the debatable decoration if it wasn’t for the smell of old/mould in the house and especially in the bedroom. It felt like the room hadn’t been aired for years. And the curtains and banner decorating the room haven’t been washed since the foundation of Portugal. I had to keep the window open and the fan on all day to try and sleep. Then the room is by the road, so cars start passing by and the noise wakes you up. I thought I was being too picky but I spoke with 2 other guests and they both had the same issues. And I probably found the only house in the country that doesn’t have a corkscrew. And they send you a long message with so many rules and “don’ts” that it makes you feel uncomfortable and self aware. Almost feels like you’re signing a long term lease contract.
