Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.
We booked this apartment for a longer stay because I work remotely and was travelling with my family and a child. Within a few hours of arrival, we reported numerous issues to the host and requested an early termination of our stay.
The apartment did not match the standard presented in the listing. Among the problems we found were:
* Dirty chairs, bench and other furniture with visible stains.
* Someone else’s used towel left in the apartment.
* Leftover food in the kitchen cupboards from previous guests.
* Kitchen utensils and dishes in poor condition. The knives were so blunt that they could barely cut food.
* Mold and dirt in the shower and around the bathroom fixtures.
* Damaged, worn and poorly maintained furniture.
* The TV was not properly configured. The HDMI setup was incorrect and the remote control was unusable, so we could not use the TV.
* The internet connection was extremely unstable. Despite restarting the router several times as instructed by the host, the connection continued to drop, making remote work impossible.
I documented everything with photographs and reported the issues on the evening of our arrival. The host acknowledged receiving the evidence and escalated the case internally, but ultimately refused our request for early termination and any refund for the unused nights.
Because the apartment was not suitable for our family and I could not perform my remote work, we decided to leave the property, returned the keys, and rented another apartment at our own expense.
Communication was also frustrating. It was difficult for Booking.com’s customer support to obtain a timely resolution from the property.
One additional concern was that before arrival we were asked to sign an agreement requiring us to have approximately 500 PLN available on our payment card in case we caused any damage, while the apartment itself already contained numerous worn, dirty and damaged items.
