Territorial Long-Term Renters and Unwelcoming Energy

The home is beautiful and beautifully furnished.

I would strongly recommend avoiding this property. What started as a seemingly decent stay quickly became one of the most uncomfortable lodging experiences I’ve had. Throughout my stay, I experienced excessive noise, passive mistreatment, and othering from the co-host and other guests. What made the experience even more concerning was that the passive hostility began almost immediately upon my arrival. When I arrived at the home, a vehicle was positioned in the driveway in a way that obstructed the normal path to the entrance, requiring me to maneuver around it with my belongings to reach the walkway. Interestingly, when I was leaving the property, that same vehicle was positioned so that the entrance was no longer obstructed. When I entered the home, the co-host looked directly at me multiple times without greeting or acknowledging me. He did not greet me until I entered the kitchen and spoke to him myself. He later carried my bag upstairs, but when I thanked him, he did not say “you’re welcome.” This initial coldness unfortunately set the tone for what I experienced from both the co-host and other guests throughout my stay. Shortly after arriving upstairs, I encountered another guest whose behavior immediately came across as hostile, disruptive, and territorial. She stomped back and forth between her room and the bathroom, had loud company over, and engaged in loud phone conversations in the bathroom that I was forced to overhear because my room was directly adjacent to it. I had barely arrived, yet I already felt distinctly unwelcome. That initial treatment became a pattern throughout my stay. This same guest routinely disturbed my peace throughout my booking. She made passive comments in passing, followed me into the backyard to sit behind me while talking on the phone, and repeatedly made excessive noise early in the morning. The disturbances were significant enough that I was unable to sleep through the night during the first two nights of my stay.

A clean, comfortable, and convenient place that made my Houston trip enjoyable.

The property was clean, modern, and exactly as described. Check-in was simple, and the space was comfortable and well-maintained. The location made it easy to get around Houston, and I appreciated having everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.

The property was clean, modern, and exactly as described. Check-in was simple, and the space was comfortable and well-maintained. The location made it easy to get around Houston, and I appreciated having everything I needed for a relaxing stay. I would definitely consider staying here again.
