Breakfast was good. The location was great. Overall a good place to stay. Maybe the rates were high.
I went to the reception the night before to see if I could get a breakfast to go next morning. The
receptionist told me that if I went the next morning to cafeteria around 6.45AM( they open at 7.00.AM) they can make me a parcel to go. I did go next morning and requested but the the person in charge in a very rude tone told me i had not pre-ordered so tough luck. I did not have time to argue so I left without the breakfast. ( not a big issue but could have been handled with courtesy and a little consideration)

Breakfast was excellent. very accommodating and service was very good.
Wifi in the room didn't seem very strong so had to come to reception which is not ideal if making private calls.

The location, restaurant staff, housekeeping staff and porters excellent 👌
The attitude of front desk staff!
I have stayed at the Imperial Palace for well over 10 years and I have never experienced an argumentative attitude of the front desk staff who all believe they are managers and highly trained in the delivery of customer service.
There is so much more to write but in the main don't smile at guests when senior management are around the reception/lobby areas! Excellent customer service with a smile costs nothing.
I hope to see a major change with this issue on my return very soon!
