I stayed at TU Casa for five days while volunteering at Mother House, and it was the perfect home base for my time in Kolkata. The location is excellent—about a 15–20 minute walk to Mother House along a busy main thoroughfare, and I felt safe walking it. For 6:00 AM Mass, an Uber was incredibly easy to arrange, usually ₹130–₹160 and only about a five-minute ride.
It’s also very close to upscale Quest Mall, convenient to bus routes, and ideally situated for exploring the city.
But what really made my stay was the staff. Everyone was genuinely warm, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. And the food! Everything was immaculately prepared and absolutely delicious—far better than I expected from a hotel stay.
I’m already planning to return to Kolkata for about two weeks in late October or November, and there’s no question where I’ll stay. TU Casa will be my home in Kolkata. Highly, highly recommended!
