The property owner was at the room to hand over our keys, but only as she owns the cafe underneath the property. We had contacted her to ask if we could arrive early and had no response, so just turned up hoping that we could at least leave our bags at the property. After this we did not hear from the owner at all.
When we initially saw the room it certainly does have the wow factor. The decor is lovely - the room is huge. Looking past the aesthetics the following issues occurred: The room gets remarkably warm with no fans. The room description includes a TV - it doesn't. There is not one there at all and if that's important to you don't choose this property. There were no body wash/shower gel etc (there is now as we bought some and left it at the property). No hairdryer to, which for me is important. In fact if you see past the decor there is very little. The mattress was extremely hard. We stayed at the property for three nights and had three awful nights sleep. The property states you can get breakfast (albeit you have to pay). This is from the cafe the owner owns - it is shut on a Sunday and Monday so no breakfast! We had a little kitchenette with a fridge and a sink - which would have been useful however there was no cutlery, no plates/bowls etc. There was a coffee pod machine. There were a few coffee pods but no other condiments/milk. Dirty socks were found behind the hanging rail in the room. The property had WIFI but the owner did not tell us what the code was so we could not use it - there was no information left in the property about the WIFI code/local area which is so easy to arrange and useful - the owner did not respond to messages. When we left, it was the taxi driver who told us what to do with the keys - we hadn't a clue. The taxi driver said every time he picks up people from the flat he hears the same story. I wanted to love this property but I cant which is a shame.
