The location was a dream. Although there was no lift to the 4th floor, it was worth the climb. Room 7 overlooks the Palais de Justice - a wonderful surprise which more than made up for the tiny room.
Air conditioner was provided but I slept with the window open. The bed was comfortable but the pillows were very thin and I could hear a noise every 5 minutes, which I think may have been from the guest in the adjacent room. It sounded like he/she was on a ventilator. It took me a couple of hours to get off to sleep.
Breakfast the next day was in the cafe downstairs and very good.
Unfortunately there was no milk provided so I could not make a cup of tea. Serves me right for being English! I cannot drink black tea or coffee.
I had not received any information regarding the key ancient I arrived in a Sunday so the cafe was closed. By chance, someone came out of the door just as I was trying to ring them and she arranged a key for me.
