About this house rental

Summary:

Perched high among the trees above Jervis Bay, Wobbegong is a private architectural hideaway in Hyams Beach with panoramic water views, a bush path to the sand, a wood burning fireplace, outdoor shower and private hot tub. Slow mornings begin with coffee on the deck, beach days end with a soak beneath the gums, and evenings feel cinematic as the bay deepens beyond the trees. Ideal for couples, families and special occasions.

The Space:

Setting and location

Wobbegong sits in Hyams Beach, wrapped in gums and coastal bush with panoramic views across Jervis Bay towards Booderee National Park. A bush path leads to the sand in around five to ten minutes on foot, delivering you straight into that white sand, clear water world Hyams is known for.

For proposals, anniversaries, milestone birthdays, babymoons and quiet celebrations, Wobbegong offers the kind of setting that does the speaking for you. With its elevated outlook, private decks and outdoor hot tub, the property feels made for slow mornings, long afternoons and memorable evenings under the trees.

Days can unfold between Hyams Beach Café for breakfast, Booderee National Park for walks and swims, and Huskisson for long lunches, thoughtful dinners and a film at the heritage cinema.

Living experience through the day

Mornings start quietly on the deck with Nespresso in hand, sun catching the bay and moving through the trees. Inside, the mood is calm and grounded, with softly polished hardwood floors, curated lighting and a restrained palette that lets the landscape take the lead.

After the beach, rinse off under the hot and cold outdoor shower, then slip into the hot tub as the bush settles around you. It is the kind of ritual that changes the pace of the day. Saltwater on your skin, warm water around you, birds in the canopy and the bay beyond the trees.

In cooler months, the wood burning fireplace draws everyone together, with storms and shifting skies playing out across the water beyond the windows. The hot tub adds another layer to winter stays, turning crisp evenings and misty mornings into something deeply restorative.

If you are here for a special occasion, dusk is the moment. The bay deepens, the birds settle, the hot tub steams gently in the open air, and the house feels quietly cinematic.
