Super Frühstück, nette Gastgeber, die auch Essen anbieten und auf Sonderwünsche (vegetarisch) flexibel einem sehr leckerem Essen reagieren. Fahrräder waren sicher untergebracht.

What an absolute gem of a place to stay! The owners, Natalie & Francis are delightful and made our experience wonderful - home from home! Set in a great location beside the canal, it’s wonderfully peaceful and quiet, yet only around a 20-minute cycle from Sancerre. It feels like a real hidden gem, away from the tourist crowds, and doubles up as a local cafe with a lovely 3-course plat du jour which we had at lunchtime and in the evening (available at weekends in the evening). L’Eau Douce is a perfect location for the Velo cycling trail. We drove from the UK and then left our car outside the hotel and cycled along the trail for a week before heading back on the train. The hotel had storage and charging for our bikes while we were staying and they were super kind to keep an eye on our car while we were gone. Natalie & Francis, were amazingly helpful and welcoming. They speak excellent English and gave us some great recommendations for things to see and do in the area. The room was very comfortable, with a charming Moroccan theme, and the bed was particularly comfortable. The continental breakfast was also lovely and a great way to start the day. The town itself is small and full of character, with a historical walking route that includes an impressive old viaduct. There’s also a winery and a goat’s cheese farm within walking distance, plus lots of other local wineries within cycling distance, making it an ideal base for exploring the area. Indeed, we preferred it to Sancerre which seemed a bit of a touristy ghost town. We thoroughly enjoyed both times we have stayed here and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for somewhere peaceful, welcoming, and a little off the beaten track but close to the cycle trails and wineries of the area.

Francis et Nathalie, les propriétaires,ne savaient que faire pour nous faire plaisir .Des petites attention dans la chambre, comme une bouteille d'eau et des mouchoirs en papier entre autres..l'impression, d'avoir été chouchoutés...

Zeer aangename uitbaters, supervriendelijk. We hebben lekker gegeten aan een spotprijs.

De douche mocht iets groter zijn. Verder niks.
