We had a warm and beautiful stay at La Casona! Rudy, the owner personally picked us up from the bus stop and showed us around. It was lovely seeing the town through his lens. He even took us at 6:30am to the boat port. Everything was very clean and the breakfast was delicious! They let us keep our things there while we hiked up the volcano nearby also.
Only the automated air freshener in the room triggered a bit of my allergies. But we just covered it up with a towel and it was fine.

Rudy and Camilla were the perfect hosts. They were attentive and welcoming at every point of our stay and gave us excellent recommendations for food. They helped us book the Conchagua volcano hike with last minute notice and picked us up and dropped us off at the ferry port. We had two very comfortable nights sleep. Excellent air con. Good cooking facilities and tuc shop. For two young female travellers going from El Salvador to Nicaragua, this was the perfect stay.

Great place to stay in La Unión. The room was clean and comfortable, the location was convenient, and the staff were very kind and welcoming. Everything was easy and we had a really pleasant stay.
