A true gem run by a family and team who go out of their way to cater to those in staying or visiting the outstanding restaurant. The rooms and beds are high quality.
The only minor point for improvement is the coffee - which was weak and slightly bitter.

We had a wonderful stay at Baita Fraina. The location is very peaceful and quiet, yet close to Cortina and easy to reach by car. It was also a great base for Tre Cime di Lavaredo, which took about 35 minutes by car to the entrance gate.
The newly renovated bathroom was very clean and comfortable. The staff were professional, friendly, and very thoughtful — they even prepared a breakfast box for us when we had to leave early for our hike.
The restaurant and breakfast were excellent, and having breakfast outside with the beautiful mountain views was a highlight. Highly recommended!

It was so nice to be out of the congestion in Cortina. The grounds were lovely, as was the view of the mountains. The restaurant was very nice for dinner. The room was a good size and the decor of the whole inn was charming.
There were no drinking glasses in the room. The windows only opened a little, so the room was quite warm. There was no lobby area to “hang out” in. Fortunately, the weather was mild so we could sit out on the lawn or the deck.
