Great location.
The Wi-Fi, which was advertised as an amenity on the listing, did not work for the entire duration of our stay.
- We experienced a prolonged electricity outage during the night, which was resolved only after we purchased electricity ourselves.
- Because the property's WiFi was unavailable, we had to purchase our own mobile data to stay connected and to access services such as Netflix and DSTV.
- Communication with the host regarding these issues, as well as basic check-in information, was delayed and, at times, ineffective.
Unfortunately, our experience with this property was very disappointing. There were several issues with the apartment that caused us significant inconvenience during our stay, and the host did not make any meaningful or timely attempt to resolve them.
What was particularly disappointing was the way we were treated when we raised these concerns. Instead of trying to find a solution, the host made several inappropriate and disrespectful comments, including questioning why we had not simply left the property if we were unhappy with the issues. We were also told that the apartment normally costs around 1,300 per night, despite the property being advertised on Booking.com at the price we paid in full. Most concerningly, the host even made the comment that we could not afford the apartment.
We believe guests should be treated with respect, regardless of the price they have paid or the concerns they raise. The issues with the property were already frustrating, but the host’s response and manner made the situation considerably worse.
