Casona del Tambor is a spectacular place, a fantastic find for families, quiet and cozy, equipped with absolutely everything a family could possibly need during their stay, making daily living smooth and stress-free.
The house is a perfect balance between being incredibly roomy and feeling warm and inviting. It has a wonderful charm, packed with beautiful elements that give the space a unique character and atmosphere. The thick walls do an amazing job of naturally blocking out the summer heat, making it a perfect cool retreat. Perfectly situated for those seeking peace and quiet, just far enough away from the busy main tourist street and just a 2 min walk from the castle ruins.
Javier and Irina are incredibly warm and helpful guardians of the house, going completely out of their way to show us true kindness and hospitality from the moment we booked the place. They gave us tons of great recommendations for the whole stay and answered all our questions, no matter how specific they were. Their incredible care and attentiveness made our family feel completely looked after.
As for Calatañazor … well … no words can describe this place. We were completely captivated by the incredible atmosphere of this quiet, medieval town. Surrounded by dramatic cliff views and beautiful fields of sunflowers, the town provided us with breathtaking views of the historic landscape. Walking through the cobblestone streets felt like stepping back in time, providing a peaceful retreat from everyday life.
Our stay at Casona del Tambor in Calatañazor was nothing short of magical. The inviting charm of the house and world-class hosts that made us feel right at home instantly!
P.S.: I must leave a note for stargazers: it is an absolute dream spot with dark skies and very low light pollution. You'll love heading up to the castle ruins, the cliff or other nearby places at night for some truly mind-blowing views of the stars!!!
