The kitchen was well equipped and practical for a longer stay. The washing machine worked well, water pressure was strong, and the air conditioning was excellent, which mattered a lot given temperatures were regularly above 30°C. The lockbox was convenient for a group of three, letting us come and go independently without coordinating, though we had no way of knowing how recently the code had last been changed, which made us slightly less confident leaving a key there. The location itself was very good, with easy access to public transport, shops, and a nearby mall.
Several issues fell short of the listing. The bathroom had visible mould (orange and black) on the tiles and inside the shower head; despite raising this on day one, a proper clean was never carried out, although the shower head was replaced the same day. The mattresses were lumpy and uncomfortable and overall the apartment was worn out compared to the listing pictures. The apartment is street-facing despite the listing specifically describing it as "quiet" and traffic and street noise were noticeable throughout, especially late at night and early hours of the morning when the AC wasn't running. The building is opposite a probation office with frequent police activity. The bin room near the entrance was not properly managed, and the smell carried into the hallway; the access code wasn't provided to us and we had to get it from a cleaner. We also found people from outside going through the bins, which felt unsafe given we didn't know how they'd obtained access. The apartment door lock was stiff and difficult to operate.
