The rooms look nice, the kitchen is well equipped, even had a dishwasher. The apartment complex is actually new. But I still would not return.
Seriously positive side is the host. They were very friendly and promptly provided us with Schladming Card which is a necessity in this region.
Despite this being completely new (Aug 2026), I would not recommend this place. It starts with complicated entry. We printed out the booking information, like we always do, but it bore no useful information. There is a key box and you need a pin for it, however this information was not printed on booking.com reservation confirmation. You think you check the messages, but you can't because there is no cell phone signal in the garage. You have to print out the initial booking.com message of the host go get in.
The entrance road is made of harsh gravel. Be careful with your tires. It could work on a temporary basis, but as a long term solution, looks cheap and bad.
The main problem is that this apartment building is basically an underground garage attached to simple tourist apartments. It has zero atmosphere. There are no decorations on the walls, there is no bar or reception to sit in after your drive or hike. They literally put in a vending machine (two in the building) to make up for mood. (On top they did not work) In the basement there is fitness center, but that is all. After a couple of hours hike, who wants to go to a gym? No reception, no lobby, no entrance hall. Whoever designed this building did a very sloppy job.
The worse part is the location. In the surrounding areas there are industrial sites. It means your room is facing the main road (noise) and there are businesses around the apartment house. So you can see trucks, or stacks of palettes or a commercial printing shop. It is far from the village so you cannot walk to the city center. There is also no shop in the walking distance. It really spoils the view and overall vibe of the place. Schladming is beautiful, and inside this apartment is also nice, but this place somehow gives you bad mood.
The apartment has no balcony, so there is no escape from the interior.
And the local tax you have pay separately. It means the host gives you a long IBAN number and you have to make a separate payment.
