My experience with this booking was unfortunately very disappointing. I understand that the mistake with the reservation was mine, and I accepted responsibility for it from the beginning. However, I contacted the property literally a few minutes after booking to explain the situation and kindly ask for help, but there was no flexibility, understanding, or attempt to find any solution at all. The issue is not only about the cancellation policy, but also about the communication and customer service. The way guests are treated during unexpected situations matters a lot. Even a polite and understanding approach can change the whole experience, but sadly that was missing here. Because of this communication and lack of empathy, the overall impression became negative. I truly hope the service and customer support improve in the future, because good hospitality is not only about the apartment itself, but also about how guests are treated.
