Bright Retreat — more escape room than retreat, only with fewer exits.

Absolutely nothing. Caution:this is not a retreat experience.

After almost 15 years with Booking.com, this was by far my worst experience. My lowest Booking.com rating ever has been 7.5. If I could I would given this a zero. • Misleading listing: apartment/retreat → actually a converted musty basement garage with no ventilation • Ocean-view property photo on listing → caution- this is not the actual property • No windows (only a very small unusable one under the stairs), no emergency exit, no fire alarm; one exit only (sliding doors), could not lock from inside, had to sleep unlocked; host suggested locking us in from outside! • Very damp place; strong pungent musty/fresh paint smell, difficult to sleep • Fresh paint on fridge transferred onto hands when using it • Electrical concerns: sparking socket, multiple extension cables siliconed to floor, multiple issues with facilities (oven, extractor fans not working, blocked shower, no hot water in kitchen) • Wardrobe drawers painted shut and unusable Based on my experience I would NOT recommend!
