It was right on the heart of the city in a beautiful old house. The apartment was cosy and comfortable and had everything you need for a short stay. The windows, once closed, kept out a surprising amount of noise. The bed was very comfy.
Because the apartment is on top of a pub, it was quite noisy until fairly late (11:30pm) as people were outside drinking and chatting (maybe it was also because that one night there was a special event as I heard regular clapping). The second night there was loud talking and laughing by people staying in another one of the apartments which woke me up at 1am. There is an official curfew from 10pm onwards but I guess it’s difficult to police. That said, when the windows were shut it was quiet a it just was quite warm inside with shut windows (probably impossible to keep them closed during the summer and then the noise would be a real problem).
