Only half an hour from the ducal town of Alnwick, with its castle, cobbled streets and enchanting gardens. Bamburgh, renowned for its dramatic fortress is only a further 3 miles up this incredible unspoilt stretch of coastline. Shop 350 yards, pub and restaurant 400 yards.

A fab week at Coastal Retreat! Started off with a call from owner confirming details also offering advice on the area, although we were familiar with the area having been a few times before. Everything was very clean and comfortable, good facilities and nice gifts left for us to enjoy. Nice area to stay, pleasant neighbourhood, lovely walks close by. Definately a property we would use again. Thank you!

Coastal retreat was a fab place to stay, very clean Every thing you need is there ,lovely welcome pack from the hosts ,which was much appreciated, we would stay here again ,5 min walk to the beach , lovely cafe the courtyard near by lovely food , we had breakfast and evening meals there
