Searles Cottage, with its own private garden next door to Orchard, blends rural charm with modern comfort, creating a cosy, restorative space to call home during your stay. With central heating plus an indoor fire, it's comfy and cosy. And yes, there's decent Wifi too!

You can enjoy Searles Cottage with or without a car.

★ If driving, there’s plenty of on-site parking and an EV charger available (for an additional fee) — great for exploring the beaches and local Cornish attractions

★ If arriving by train, we’re just 1.1 miles from Lostwithiel station (a quick 4-min taxi ride, or a 25-min adventure walk along country lanes and our fields — only to tackle in daylight, and with minimal luggage!)

★ Arrive any time that suits you after the check-in time, with self check-in available

THE FARM

Searles Cottage sits within a 700-year-old Cornish farmstead, at Tredethick Farm, surrounded by 80 acres of woodland, meadows and pasture. Tredethick Farm is cared for regeneratively, creating a calm, nature-rich environment where wildlife thrives and provides endless opportunities for outdoor adventures. We have just 8 holiday cottages on site, creating a wonderfully relaxing feel even when we’re fully booked.

POOL & HOT TUB FACILITIES

During school holidays (including summer holidays, Easter, Christmas & half terms), your stay includes:



★ 1 x 1-hour private session per day in the heated indoor pool

★ 1 x 1-hour private session per day in the hot tub garden, with sweeping valley views

★ Open swim sessions, where you’re welcome to use the pool as many times as you wish during the open timeslots, sharing with the other cottages on the farm

★ Private sessions are pre-bookable via our app (for no extra cost), giving you privacy and flexibility (subject to availability)

During term times, your stay includes:

★ 2 x 1-hour private sessions per day in the heated indoor pool

★ 2 x 1-hour private sessions per day in the hot tub garden, with sweeping valley views

THE AREA

The farm lies beside the lower Fowey Valley, part of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, making it a wonderful base for exploring Cornwall — or simply staying put and enjoying farm life.

Nearby highlights include:

★ Lostwithiel, just a mile away, with lovely shops, pubs & restaurants. It's a real experience to do the adventure walk (25 mins from the farm into the village along our fields, then country lanes with beautiful views). Experience the vibrant hidden gem of a Cornish community with brunch at one of the local cafes and visit the independent shops with local treasures. Remember to grab an ice cream from the ice cream shop next to the river, which has the most incredible Cornish flavours!

★ Iconic Cornish attractions, all within beautiful drives, including The Eden Project, beautiful beaches and coastal walks (15-min drive) and The Lost Gardens of Heligan (30 mins)

We welcome friendly canine companions, up to 1 per stay (if booked in advance and you agree to our Pet Policy). As we have farm animals on site plus families with young children staying, your poochy pals must be kept on a lead at all times on the farm so all humans, farm animals, and your pet are all kept safe and can co-exist peacefully.
