Designed for families: Sleeps 7 across three bedrooms and 2.5 baths. The primary suite has a king and a recently added en suite. The second bedroom has a queen plus a bonus room. The third has a twin and a twin daybed with a trundle that converts to a king. Downstairs, in an unfinished basement - exposed studs, open utilities, concrete floor - you get laundry, a brand-new bathroom, and the game tables (air hockey, foosball) the kids gravitate to anyway. History and character: The cast plaque by the door reads ESTABLISHED 1924. You'll notice a few lovable quirks — creaky floors, unique angles — alongside thoughtful modern updates. It's perfect if you value craftsmanship and authentic neighborhoods; less so if you want brand-new construction or a resort-style setting.

The neighborhood: You're in the heart of Dogtown, surrounded by local restaurants, pubs, and parks. It's a lived-in setting, so you may occasionally hear friendly city sounds. Time your visit right and you can step into Dogtown's famous St. Patrick's Day celebration. One honest note: the primary bedroom faces the street with I-64/40 beyond it, so you will hear some road noise; there is a sound machine in the house you are welcome to use, and guests who know to expect it sleep through it.
