About this cabin rental
Picture waking up in the Smokies: mist drifting through the treetops outside your window, coffee in hand on a private deck stacked three levels high. By afternoon you're racking up the pool table or sliding into the hot tub as the ridgeline turns gold. Little Cub Retreat sleeps 7 across two king suites plus a loft bunk room, minutes from downtown Gatlinburg — built for the moments you'll actually remember.
Little Cub Retreat is a three-level timber-and-stone cabin tucked into the wooded hillside of Chalet Village, built to be as fun after dark as the park is during the day. Vaulted knotty-pine ceilings and a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace anchor the great room, where walls of windows frame the Smokies instead of a neighbor's siding.
Sleeping is set up as 2 king bedrooms plus a loft with its own bunk-and-trundle sleeping area — not a technical "third bedroom," but a real, private third sleeping space with a full-over-full bunk, a twin trundle, a smart TV, and its own ensuite bath.
Bedroom 1 — King bed, smart TV, deck access, ensuite with a shower/jetted-tub combo.
Bedroom 2 — King bed, smart TV, deck access, ensuite with a shower/jetted-tub combo.
Loft — Full-over-full bunk plus a twin trundle (sleeps up to 5), smart TV, ensuite bath.
Plus a fourth, hall-access full bath with a walk-in shower for whoever's up first.
The kitchen is stocked for a real crew: granite counters, stainless appliances, a dishwasher, and enough cookware for pancakes for seven or a holiday dinner with no grocery run for basics. An island bar seats early risers, and the dining table sits everyone together with mountains out every window. A dedicated coffee bar and a built-in wet bar with a wine rack mean the first pour and the last round both happen without leaving the room.
Up in the game loft, a full-size pool table, arcade cabinet, foosball, and a chessboard by the window turn a rainy afternoon into the best part of the trip. Three decks wrap the cabin, so there's always a spot with a view — coffee at sunrise, dinner at golden hour, or the ridgeline changing color. The private hot tub is the nightly finale: steam rising, mountains glowing, a soak that makes the day worth it.
Big families needing real separation, not just extra beds — 2 king suites for the adults, a loft for the kids, and a game room that absorbs the energy.
Multi-generational trips where grandparents want a quiet deck and a jetted tub while the younger crowd wants pool and the hot tub after dark.
Couples splitting a mountain getaway, using the two king ensuites as home base and the great room and game loft as shared space.
Ski and Ober Mountain trips, since the cabin sits minutes from the lifts but still feels like a private retreat to come home to.
Anyone who wants a "we never have to leave" stay — between the hot tub, the game loft, and the decks, a rainy day here is still a great day.
Not the best fit for guests needing full step-free access — this is a multi-level home connected by interior stairs.
