location & size

Dishwasher inoperable and obviously that has been the situation for along time as typed note on fridge about this situation amongst other typed information. Sink plug in kitchen made of plastic !!! was useless to retain water in sink need a metal plug . Found hair in the bath / shower as not properly cleaned before our stay !!! Light outside the unit was not stopped by the Venetian blinds in the bedroom need drapes to shut out light.

Our stay was disappointing due to a prolonged lockout, poor communication, and unresolved refund issues.

The location was great. Everything was in walking distance. Tidy.

We stayed here over the weekend and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. Before our stay, we were sent a video explaining that the door has a specific technique to open, so it was clear this was already a known issue. The door worked initially, but when we returned after being out on Sunday, we were unable to get back into the apartment despite following the video instructions multiple times. We contacted the manager immediately and explained that we had already watched the video and that the door still would not open. Despite this, we were sent the same video and asked to demonstrate how we were opening the door over a WhatsApp video call before someone was eventually sent out. They were also unable to open the door, and a locksmith had to be called. In total, we were locked out for almost 5 hours from 11am till 3:40pm, a majority of that was waiting outside in the cold with our two young children. We were told to wait in the car while the locksmith was unavailable. This significantly disrupted our day and was not the experience we expected and paid for. The person who attended mentioned that a discount would be arranged because of the inconvenience. However, after checking out, we had to follow this up ourselves. We were initially offered a $20 refund, with the explanation that the mechanical failure was unexpected and that the lock replacement had cost the owner $850. We were also asked to leave a good review. A second staff member later phoned and offered a larger refund, but then messaged shortly afterwards saying the manager would handle it instead. At the time of writing this review, no refund has been received and my follow-up message regarding no payment being recieved has gone unanswered. There were also a couple of maintenance issues that should be addressed, including a loose glass balcony panel that could be shaken and a chair with a loose bolt.
