Genuinely cannot fault this property, the staff or the inclusions. The property was fabulous, and (as of writing this) backs onto/looks out onto a beautiful rice paddy so feels somewhat secluded and surrounded by nature despite being fairly central to everything you need, if wanting to stay near where the action is. The scooter rental is part of the same company and the office is connected to the building so the scooter hire was super easy and efficient as well as very reasonably priced. Location is great if you want to be fairly close to Canggu/beach/Seminyak area without being right in the loud hectic parts, amazing coffee vinyl shop 1 min minute walk (Campus Coffee Umalas), Mini-mart 5 min walk, a nice liquor store 1 min walk, the huge 'Popular Deli' grocery store 5 min walk, and chemist an additional couple of mins walk. Along with many bars/restaurants from a 5 min walk. There is 24 hour security so you feel safe at all times. The entry is by a pin code on the villa door for easy access but there are also keys internally in the villa on the inside door and bedroom doors, in case you want the added security. The staff create a whatsapp group message with you to respond to any of your needs and communicate with you. They offer cleaning daily but organise this with you first via whatsapp, and bottled water is provided and replaced daily, along with provision of good pool towels so you don't have to use your bath towel. The kitchen is fully equipped. Having the additional toilet downstairs from the bedrooms was great (in case of Bali belly, and if using the pool). The lighting around the pool and sunken lounge outdoors at night time is so lovely. Pool seemed to maintain a pleasant temperature of a day and evening. Overall, we absolutely loved the hospitality and experience at Villa Rosy. My wife is usually quite particular around accomodation and safety in foreign countries and she was very pleased with everything.
I will preface that absolutely none of this is a complaint nor did it bother us at all, but just mentioning for future guests reference prior to booking in case it could be an issue:
- The villa mightn't be suitable for a relaxing holiday (where you don't have to monitor your kids 24/7) if you have quite young children: the stairs to the bedrooms upstairs are a bit taller than usual stairs so may not be safe for them to climb up and down unassisted, and the sunken lounge next to the pool has some corners that although aren't super sharp, could easily hurt them by bumping into or falling onto them, as well as the edges from the top walkway not having a barrier so a toddler could easily fall into it and as it's a couple steps down, it could be quite a distance to fall for a toddler aged child.
- Of a morning around 11am until the early evening, the Balinese rice paddy workers arrive to the fields directly behind the property and periodically shout and/or pull on a rope that bashes loudly into metal signs, to scare away the birds from eating their crops. This didn't disturb us at all and we got used to it quickly and forgot it was happening after the first day but we initially thought there was some kind of commotion/brawl outside when we first heard it, before realising. But like I mentioned, none of this was an issue at all for us!
