The property is finished to a high standard, really beautiful inside, good spacious bedrooms, open plan living area but doesn’t feel cramped. Bathrooms are exceptional, was too hot for a bath but really wanted one!
The hosts left a well stocked kitchen, I took salt, pepper, olive oil, coffee, tea, sugar, etc, as these are normally never available, but the kitchen cupboard had all the essentials, was really good.
Plenty of parking, but if have children the downside is it’s open to driveway and there are other properties so need be careful as cars do come and go.
The location is very quiet and it’s a rather treacherous access road if not used to country roads, I would access passed the Black Labrador pub and turn left after that, if coming from Kendal, rather than before, as that road is one car wide, with, I think 1 passing place the entire length. Also for some reason, unknown to us all, the road from Kendal to underbarrow has 2 huge concrete triangles in middle of road, and my car sensors were screaming, really tight to get through them! Get all you need before come as it’s a good drive back to Kendal to shops.
